Chandelier SH 4
Hand-forged chandelier with 12 arms and candle holders for 12 candles.
Each arm has two blue glass pendants in different sizes. Below the larger pendants hang individually designed clear glass medallions, three with a fish print and three with a face print. Below the smaller glasses hang medallions shaped like a drop, three with a face print and three completely clear. In addition to the wrought iron construction itself, the middle and upper parts consist of three glass details, two in blue and one larger glass detail in clear.
The product was designed by Erik Höglund the early 1960s. SH 4 means that the chandelier is the fourth item designed for series production at Boda Smide. Two 707 links for suspension are included as standard. If the ceiling is high, one or more extra links may be required. Boda Smide renowned designers and skilled craftsmen to create unique functional and decorative objects in iron and glass. The handmade glass is produced by shaping the hot, viscous glass mass using manual methods, resulting in a combination of the designer's vision and the craftsman's intuition. This method always produces different, individual results. All glassware is therefore unique. In the forge, the malleable iron is shaped into beautiful functional objects, each of which is unique thanks to the blacksmith's skill and craftsmanship.
